  • First Annual Widow’s Empowerment Weekend held in Orlando, FL with over 130 widows, leaders and speakers in attendance.
  • Launched chapters in Oklahoma City, OK, Birmingham, AL, Houston/Katy, TX, Los Angeles, CA
  • Modern Widows Club partnered with Sudden Money Institute to create an Ambassador Program to match financial sponsors with new and existing chapters.
  • New board members joined the Board of Directors to take us into the new year with our fast growth potential.

  • MWC donors built 4 African Widow Homes outside of Kenya, send more Mission Legos boxes and make Christmas Dinner happen for 70 widows & their fatherless children at Wagoma Widow and Orphan Centre.

  • Orlando, FL: Our 1st Fundraiser ‘Rummage Sale’ was a success. To raise money to file our 501c3.

  • MWC sends Mission Legos to Kenya Africa for widows/ orphans sponsored by our community.

  • Like minded widows attended 12 + social events, 250 widows meet and bond with each other during ‘Social Hour’.

 

  • Carolyn Moor launched Modern Widows Club by welcoming 2 ladies into her home in central Florida.
  • MWC Website launched- Funded by an Indiegogo crowdfunding project.
  • Modern Widows Club is granted their trademarked with U.S. Patent and Trademark office.
  • Kansas City, MO: Our 2cd Chapter founded by Leader Jodie Rodenbaugh.
  • Social media online community begins to grow with Facebook reaching 600 followers.

 

  • Two widows meet; one is in her 40’s and 10 years into her widowed journey, another in her 20’s and widowed less than one year. They find out they have so much in common and can enrich each others life by being present and moving forward together– feeling less alone in their journey.
